Advice Following Insertion of an Intrauterine Device (IUD)
- You have persistent abdominal pain.
- You have a fever or unexplained chills.
- You have an unusual vaginal discharge.
- You experience pain or discomfort during sex.
- You and your partner can feel the lower end of the IUD.
- You can no longer feel the strings of your IUD, which you used to feel.
- You think you may be pregnant.
- You have a copper IUD and your period has stopped.
- Your menstrual cycle changes.
- You have other concerns about your IUD.
